Top 5 Social Apps Performance in Lebanon Q2 2022

In the second quarter of 2022, Lebanon's social app landscape presented diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s an overview of the performance of the top five social apps, based on Sensor Tower data.

TikTok showed a dynamic performance with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 54K in mid-June. Despite a steady decline in weekly revenue from around $11K at the start of the quarter to roughly $5K by the end, the app maintained strong engagement, with weekly active users hovering around 1.4M to 1.5M.

Facebook demonstrated consistent user engagement, with weekly active users steadily increasing from 2.9M to over 3M. Weekly downloads remained stable, averaging around 25K. However, weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at $925 at the beginning of April and dropping to $223 by the end of June.

Instagram experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads, hitting around 31K in early June. Active users also saw a slight increase, rising from 1.5M to approximately 1.6M by the end of the quarter. Revenue remained minimal, with the highest weekly revenue reaching $26.

Likee - Short Video Community saw a decline in weekly downloads from around 21K to just under 10K by the end of June. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 320K to 300K. Revenue saw a sporadic increase, peaking at $113 in the final week of June.

MeYo : be friends showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of around 14K in early June. Active users also grew significantly from 6.6K at the end of March to about 19K by mid-June. Weekly revenue was modest but saw a peak of $153 in late May.
